On Tuesday night Nicholas was laying in his bouncy chair, kicking his arms and legs. We had two toys suspended above him. As he kicked and cooed, his hand happened to touch one of the toys.
He went very, very still and an intense look came across his face. Then he slowly reached out his hand and deliberately touched the toy. He started laughing and kicking his legs and flailing his arms even more.
Since then, he is trying to touch everything. But mostly he just succeeds in pushing things away. Especially his Binky (pacifier), which he repeatedly knocks out of his mouth and then complains until I put it back in.
So I decided it was time for him to get some extra practice in touching and grabbing things and brought out the baby gym given to us by our friends, whose baby had outgrown it.
At first he just stared in amazement and wonder at all of the toys suspended above his head.
Then he started kicking and moving so much I couldn't get a clear shot, so you'll just have to imagine it.I cannot believe how fast he is growing and learning!
