Finally!

Yesterday we had an Open House for our friends to celebrate the Finalization of Nicholas's Adoption.

Here's the Star of the Day, playing Pony Boy with Daddy...

Since it was a US domestic adoption, we created a Smorgasbord of American food.

The treats included: nachos with salsa dip and melted velveeta cheese; Ritz and Triscuit crackers with a selection of cheeses (Vermont Cheddar, Monterey Jack, Colby and American-style "Swiss" cheese) as well as Cheese in a Can; veggies with Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing for dipping; Rice Krispies Bars; Brownies; Oreos and Fig Newtons. Plus Country Time Lemonade and Miller Beer.

The biggest hit was the velveeta cheese dip, which we kept heated in our authentic Swiss fondue pot. By posting this, we run the risk of being booted out of Switzerland and never allowed to return!

Some of our guests hanging out in the living room (which resembled a disaster zone after all the children were done playing!)

And here is Nicholas sharing a moment with our friend, Vasso:

It was a great day!

We would also like to publicly thank our friend, Jennifer, who met us lat weekend outside one of the US military base in Germany and escorted us to the commissary. Without her, most of the American goodies would have been impossible to provide!
