Bella, Bella!

We've just returned from a long weekend in Florence, Italy!

We heard "Bella, Bella!" non-stop while we were there. The rumor is true -- Italians love babies and everywhere we went people exclaimed about how beautiful ("bella") Nicholas is. He was treated like a prince in every shop and restaurant, as evidenced by the special pillow shown in the photo below.  The chef at one of the restaurants provided it because he didn't think the restaurant's high chair was quite comfy enough!

While in Florence we visited only three museums as we didn't want to push our luck with having a cooperative baby.

But he did quite well. Here he is getting an art education at the Palazzo Pitti:

Nicholas especially liked the paintings with the babies in them!
