Fred is on a business trip for three days. He's off tromping through the woods in the Swiss Alps on group "team building exercises" and attending many business meetings at a retreat.
So Nicholas and I are on our own...
It is complicated by the fact that Nicholas has a cold (as do I!). Plus, he decided now would be the perfect time for another growing spurt. Last night he woke up every 2-3 hours and downed nearly a whole bottle of formula each time. He was ravenously hungry!If the hunger lasts longer than 2-3 days it is our signal that he is probably ready to start solids. Unless necessary we are going to wait until 6 months to help reduce the risk of him developing food allergies, but I do have infant rice cereal on hand, just in case. If he routinely wants to eat more often than every 3 hours during the day or wakes more frequently at night it is time to bring out the cereal.
Fred gets back tomorrow afternoon and we cannot wait to see him! After I hug him, I am going to go take a nap.
