Nicholas loves mobiles. We had attached a mobile to his changing table and he quickly discovered that if he kicked, the mobile would move.

I wanted to get an additional mobile for his crib and have been looking for more than a month, but nothing caught my fancy. In addition, I was disappointed that all mobiles seem to be designed to be viewed from the side and, of course, babies view them from the bottom.

Then inspiration struck. Why not make my own? Since my parents are visiting, I also had Baby Holders so I could work. Using translucent, plastic file folders, pipe cleaners, fishing line and a wire hanger, I put this together in a couple of hours:

Fred attached it to the crib with a suspension curtain rod and hung it high so the cats couldn't play with it.
