Three Months Old

Nicholas is 3 months old today. So, we did a portrait sitting and some measurements...

Weight: 14.2 lbs
Length: 24.75 in
Head Circumference: 16.5 in
Growth Percentile (US Charts): 75% for length and 60% for weight

Nicholas just had another growth spurt, so he's a little skinny at the moment. He'll add weight over the next week and be rolly-polly until the next growth spurt.

In the past two weeks he has been sleeping 8 or more hours on a pretty regular basis. There have been a couple of nights when he has woken up to eat, but I think it is because of that growth spurt. He's a hungry boy and routinely eats 6-7 ounces per feeding. Thank goodness for the US formula, which restored him to his happy self. Go Nicholas!

This past week was a little traumatic for Nicholas. We had to go back for additional kidney tests to determine if the obstruction in his ureter is likely to resolve on its own or if he will need surgery to repair it. We don't have the results yet and I suspect we won't hear anything until after the holidays.

This past month we also had the first of two visits by the US social worker. It went quite well and the next visit will be in January or February. We also have a court date the first week in April to finalize the adoption. After the adoption is finalized we are meeting Fred's mother, my parents and one of my sisters in Florida for a Celebratory Caribbean cruise before flying back to Switzerland.
