Cutest Thing Ever

Nicholas is now old enough to start some discipline/training. We want him to learn "No!" before he learns to walk so that if he is about to do something dangerous, he already knows that "No!" means "Stop right now!"

Starting slowly, we began saying "No" firmly if he tried to turn over on the changing table.

And now that he is crawling, if he is about to do something he ought not do, we will say "No" or "Uh-uh." He will stop what he is doing and usually goes on to play with a toy or something.

However, in the last couple of days when we say "No" or "Uh-uh" he will look at us and shake his head back and forth. And then he will slowly and deliberately try it again. Carefully watching us to see what we do.

It's actually adorable and we have to be careful not to smile or laugh as we go, lift him up and place him away from the object he is not to play with.

He's gonna be a handful as a toddler. I can tell already.

Any bets on when the first temper tantrum will happen?
