Yep, Nicholas took his first steps today. Who in the pool was closest to 10 months, 1 week and 2 days without going over?
He's actually walked twice now, but we don't have video yet. Not only has he done it without giving us appropriate warning to get the camera, but the video camera's battery needs to be recharged. I'll post video as soon as I am able to capture the walking on camera.

Here is Nicholas with Sue, our friend from Kansas City. She just finished an AFS program in Italy and came to visit before heading back to KC.
And here is our friend, Susan who lives here in Zürich. She brought Lucky the Wonder Dog over for a first visit with Nicholas.
Some of my friends have young children who are terrified of dogs and I wanted Nicholas to meet a few very friendly dogs before the terror stage set in. I asked Susan to bring Lucky over to meet Nicholas. Lucky is old, calm and friendly. He also isn't very big.Nicholas isn't sure what he thinks of Lucky and never got very close. But Susan is going to bring him again so Nicholas will have more time to get to know him.
