6 Month Portraits

Guess who is going to be 6 months old tomorrow???

Since the sunlight early this morning when we woke was almost perfect, and who knows what the weather will be like tomorrow, we did his photo shoot a day early this month. Although he changes quickly, he's unlikely to change that much in 24 hours!

Yesterday we had his 6 month pediatrician appointment. Here are the official numbers!

Length: 28 in (95th percentile)
Weight: 17.9 lbs (40th percentile)

He just had yet another growing spurt, so he's a bit thin at the moment. But he's eating non-stop (got up twice last night to have bottles!) so the weight will catch up a bit in the next week. Although he's never been more than the 60th percentile for weight, so I think he is just on the thin side for his height. But he certainly isn't too skinny! Look at those fat rolls on his legs!

Nicholas also impressed the pediatrician with his physical feats. He can sit up unassisted for 30 minutes or more, easily roll over from his front to his back and from his back to his front (as of Wednesday!) and pick up objects while in a sitting position and bring them to his mouth. The doctor mentioned he is a couple of months ahead of schedule for all of that.

It's official, he is advanced!

He is also starting to outgrow his 12 month clothes! And this after so many other mothers assured me that once they hit that size, they slow down a bit.

When we go back to the US in a bit more than a week, we will have the next size up in clothes already laundered and waiting for us. (Thanks Baba & Auntie Kara!) Because our wardrobe options at the moment are a bit limited. And require almost daily loads of laundry.
